The “miracles” from Düsseldorf and Cologne
September 28, 2007
This text was published in “Kirchenzeitung”, a religious church magazine on 28th of September, 2007. The author Siegbert Klein describes the successful treatment of diabetes mellitus and diabetic foot with adult autogenetic stem cells with examples from the XCell-Center and Prof. Dr. Bodo-Eckehard Strauer who healed a patient by injecting stem cells into his heart. As an example, the situation of an 80-year-old patient is reported. The man suffered from a diabetic foot that nearly had to be amputated. By incidence, his daughter found out about the therapy with adult stem cells and the foot could be saved.
The text also states the differences between embryonic and adult stem cells from a religious, ethical point of view. It is said that there is no need to kill human beings for therapies with adult stem cells in contrast to embryonic stem cells. So with this parochial background, the treatment with adult stem cells is seen as the silver bullet while embryonic stem cells were declined.
