Stem cell treatment of Failed Back Surgery Syndrome

Failed Back Surgery Syndrome or Postnucleotomy Syndrome

Both terms mean the same: after back surgery, the patient suffers from chronic back pain. The pain may be concentrated in the area operated on, or may radiate to the legs.

The pain persists, despite various therapies using either drugs or invasive treatments like denervation or implantation of spinal cord simulators. Eventually, the patient ends up being labelled "untreatable" and is "treated" using pain-surpressing drugs.

The XCell-Center treatment of Postnucleotomy Syndrome

The XCell-Center offers a higly advanced combination of Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression and Regenerative Disc Repair.

Percutaneuous Laser Disc Decompression (PLDD) is a new laser-assisted disc decompression technique, whereby the laser is used to vaporize the disk or scar tissue. It is one of the newest forms of "minimally invasive surgery".

Regenerative Disc Repair is done using the XCell-Center's exclusive adult stem cell therapy. Autologous stem cells -autologous meaning: out of your own body- are inserted through the same tube that is used to guide the laser. The stem cells thus arrive in exactly the right spot to start their regenerative work.

Costs

The price of percutaneous laser disk decompression and transplantation of autologous stem cells into the disk compartment is 11,000 Euros.

Treatment Evaluation Process

In order to be evaluated for treatment, patients must complete an online medical history form. Once you've completed the online medical history and submitted it, a patient relations consultant will contact you. He or she will assist you with the rest of the evaluation process. Upon treatment approval, your consultant will also assist you with treatment scheduling and trip preparation.
